Are you experiencing, or have you experienced trauma?

You are not alone. We are here to support you.

What is trauma?

Sometimes it can hit your emotions now – and sometimes, it can happen later on in life. Its impact can be severe.

Trauma is what happens when life throws something at us that’s too stressful, too fast, or too frightening or distressing to handle. It can be one moment or something that drags on.

We may be able to help you. We provide FREE:

  • domestic abuse support service
  • sexual abuse support service
  • support & advice on stalking
  • court – support in court settings
  • educational support on identifying types of abuse/abusive behaviours (Freedom Programme)
  • one-to-one emotional support in-person or online
  • help to access parental abuse services
  • financial help for cost of living/fleeing domestic abuse
  • housing resettlement service
  • safety equipment (personal alarm & home safety)
  • help to access free legal advice on benefits, housing,
  • immigration & budgeting

Survivor’s Voice

“I was completely lost. I used to be broken. My advocate from Deaf-initely Women changed everything. She helped me with everything. The service helped me to realise that it wasn’t my fault. Now I feel stronger, more confident, and empowered – all thanks to this service”.
