BSL Video **Full transcript below**🌺PRESS RELEASE🌺 Let’s Celebrate Deaf Women Together on Saturday 9th March at Museum of Making in Derby from 10am to 3pm. On Saturday, March 9th, the Museum of Making in Derby will be hosting a Women's International Day event, dedicated to celebrating deaf, deafblind, and hard-of-hearing women from across Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, and Nottinghamshire. This exciting event has been made possible by the funding received from Foundation Derbyshire. The day will be opened by Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Angelique Foster, who will be present to welcome everyone to the launch. The event promises to be an informative and inspiring one, with a range of activities lined up for the day. Over 200 attendees can look forward to a talk by Yvonne Cobb, the BBC and ITV presenter, on women's food and health, as well as an insightful session with a Sex Therapist. There will be 34 deaf female sole traders selling their handmade products along with charities and public authorities displaying their services. The aim is to educate women about the services available including safety, and health, and to raise awareness about abuse. The event will provide an opportunity for deaf, deafblind, and hard-of-hearing women to come together and share their experiences, with a focus on understanding and empathising with one another. This will be the biggest deaf event in Derby, Derbyshire, and we would be thrilled if you could join us to celebrate this special occasion. zurl.co/82F8 ... See MoreSee Less
