As Safe As Houses

Get Clever with Home Security

This new leaflet ‘Get Clever with Home Security’ is packed with useful information to help you to stay safe and protect your home from crime. Keeping people safe is a fundamental part of Derbyshire Police and Crime Plan.

Deaf-initely Women has listened very carefully to deaf and hard of hearing women about their experiences of living alone and the increased sense of vulnerability or isolation many feel as a result of their hearing loss. This leaflet is designed to provide women – and all members of the deaf community – with practical advice and information to reduce the risk of crime.
Technology is constantly changing but this leaflet – and the accompanying video (Coming soon) – is designed to remain relevant for many years to come. You can also check Derbyshire Police’s website www.derbyshire.police.uk for further information and advice on home security, how to report a crime and how to access support if you have been a victim of crime.
Also, please visit https://springderbyshire.org.uk/ for full details about what is abuse and the many different types of abuse in BSL.
