Deaf-initely Women operates a domestic abuse service across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire for deaf female victims/survivors. We are looking to expand our team of dedicated staff by recruiting 2 Personal Navigational Support workers (PNSW):
Post 1 – £17,892.80 for 28-hours a week (4 days a week), fixed-term until 31.3.25, covering Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.
Post 2 – £11,183.00 for 17.5-hours a week (3 days a week), fixed-term for 12 months, covering Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, and surrounding areas.
The PNSWs will:
- Manage a caseload of victims/survivors of domestic abuse.
- Be deaf and able to sign fluently in British Sign Language.
- Provide 1:1 support, undertake risk assessments, develop individual safety & support plans, and assist with accessing relevant support services.
- Work in partnership with other agencies to bring about positive conclusions for the victims/survivors.
- Attend meetings and maintain multi-agency relationships.
- Be required to adhere to statutory protocols and procedures.
- Be a positive ambassador for Deaf-initely Women ensuring services are delivered to the highest of standards.
This vacancy is open to deaf women only (Exempt under the Equality Act 2010, pursuant to schedule 9, Part 1).
