Sep 18, 2024

Deaf-initely Women offers specialist Community and Statutory Advocacy services for Deaf, Deafblind, and Hard-of-Hearing women.

Our Community Advocacy service is free for women living in Nottinghamshire, Nottingham, Derbyshire and Derby.

Spot Purchasing
We can accept referrals for statutory advocacy from professionals, including Social Workers, DoLS teams, and NHS staff on a spot purchase basis, for:

• Care Act Advocacy
• Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA)
• IMCA Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS)
• Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
• Paid Relevant Person’s Representative (Paid RPR)

Community Advocacy for deaf women living outside of our free community advocacy service area can also be
offered on a spot purchasing basis.

Our Independent Advocates are deaf women with lived experience, ensuring your voice is heard and respected in important decisions. For referrals or more information, contact Advocacy Manager Becky Daykin at advocacy@deafi nitelywomen.org.uk
