Advocate

£12,147 – £13,201 for 17.5 hours post.
(Dependent on experience and qualifications.)

Location: Belper, Derbyshire.

Deaf-initely Women is looking to recruit a deaf, deafblind or a hard of hearing woman to work as a parttime Advocate to support and empower deaf women to be heard through quality, independent advocacy. They will hold (or be willing to work towards within 12 months) the Diploma in Independent Advocacy (City & Guilds Level 3 or 4). As part of their role, they will also be prepared to travel across Derby/shire and Nottingham/shire.  

Deaf-initely Women believe that all deaf women have the right to be heard and respected, making their own choices in decisions about themselves.

Outreach Support worker

£11,750 for 17.5 hours post,

Location: Belper, Derbyshire. 

Deaf-initely Women support and empower deafblind women to live fully inclusive lives with empowerment-based services designed by deafblind women themselves. With the support of the deafblind team.

The Outreach Support worker will deliver a home-visiting service where she will carry out assessments of clients’ needs to fully participate in activities, access services and/or to volunteer. With the support from the Access to Work programme, the postholder will be prepared to travel across Derby/shire and Nottingham/shire.
