Deaf-initely Women: Derby Season of Light

October 26 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

👉Tuesday 26th October 2021, 10am-1pm

👉Museum of Making, Silk Mill Lane, Derby DE1 3AF

👉 FREE for deaf and hard of hearing women living in Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire

A special lantern-making workshop, open to deaf and hard of hearing women only, especially from the South Asian community (Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire), with transcriber and two BSL interpreters (support in partnership with Deaf-initely).

Create your own lantern using willow and tissue paper. Our decoration themes are climate change and celebrating NHS/key workers. Finished lanterns can be carried in the Derby Lantern Parade on 13th November, using LED candles.

Places are limited, so early booking is essential. If workshop is full, please email Deaf-initely Women and we will put on reserves list: booking@deafinitelywomen.org.uk

BSL interpreters, electronic notetakers and loop system are available on the day.
