DEaf Abuse Free

Abuse awareness for deaf and hard of hearing women

DEaf Abuse Free service has been created to break down the barriers faced by deaf, deafblind and hard-of-hearing women as victims of abuse. We experience a lack of accessible information and support.

The DEaf Abuse-Free delivers Freedom Programme, an awareness training session throughout Derby, Derbyshire, Nottingham and Nottinghamshire for all deaf, deafblind and hard of hearing women. We offer fully inclusive support with BSL interpreters, captions, video and email/text communication to meet a wide range of communication needs.

This will help deaf, deafblind and hard-of-hearing women to identify the range of abuse and give them the confidence to report it.
