What started as a rainy June day in Derbyshire turned into a heart-warming adventure for six deaf and hard of hearing (HoH) women. Seeking shelter from the downpour, the group cozied up at the Chill Bean café, where they enjoyed cappuccinos topped with delightful alpaca chocolate designs, a delicious lunch, and a catch-up!
When the rain clouds finally cleared, the group ventured outside to meet the real stars of the day—alpacas, including some adorable crias (baby alpacas). The women enjoyed feeding the animals, capturing the experience with plenty of photos
and a promise of a return visit at a later date in the
sunshine!
Deaf and hard-of-hearing women are welcome to join the monthly meetings at Sharpes Pottery Museum, Swadlincote in South Derbyshire along with summer specials and Christmas afternoon
teas.
The next coffee morning will be on Thursday 3rd October, 10.30am at Sharpe’s
Pottery Museum Cafe.
